Shark Tank India 2: Anupam Mittal Commends Neomotion, A Personalised Wheelchair Brand; Says, ‘Aapko Bharat Ratna Milega’- WATCH VIDEO`
Shark Tank India has become one of the most watched television reality shows. While the audience loved the first season, the second season has been called out for being as dramatic as television serials. In the recent episode, it was seen that the sharks were blown away by a personalised wheelchair brand, Neomotion. They heaped praises on the creators for their invention and Anupam Mittal went as far as to claim that they would receive Bharat Ratna Award.

In a video that was posted on social media by the makers of the show, the judges can be seen discussing the cost of the products’ manufacturing. Anupam mentions that India is known for its ‘frugal engineering’ and that the creators must think about how they can manufacture their products in Rs 25,000. He goes on to say, “Agar aap ye Rs 25,000 mein bana dete ho na, aapko business hi nahi, aapko Bharat Ratna milega.” ALSO READ: Shark Tank India 2: Aman Gupta Impressed By Dr Ashish Rawandale’s Guinness Book Of World Records; Says, ‘Doctor Sahab Aap Mahapurush Ho’

The founders, however, don’t budge and say the least they could come down to was Rs 80,000. For the unversed, the brand had come on the show seeking Rs 1 crore for 1 percent of the company. While Anupam and Namita Thapar jointly offer them an investment of Rs 50 lakhs for 4 percent equity and Rs 50 lakhs in debts, the Neomotion creators stay firm on their demands, which leads the sharks to back off. It is Peyush Bansal who eventually gives them the deal they asked for after much back and forth. For the uninitiated, the show is the Indian franchise of the American show of the same name, where known entrepreneurs listen to different business ideas and decide whether or not they want to invest in those ideas. This season sees Anupam Mittal (Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com), Aman Gupta (Co-Founder and CMO of boat), Namita Thapar (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (Co-Founder and CEO of Sugar Cosmetics), Peyush Bansal (Founder & CEO of Lenskart.com) and Amit Jain (Co-Founder of CarDekho) as the sharks.
